我们的使命

我们团队的称号为“Selene”，这个灵感来自于希腊神话，另一方面它正好也是我们团队的创建人爱人的名字。我们的团队由来自中国和德国的意愿加入 Google Lunar X Prize 的工程师和技术人员组成。他们聪明能干，并且满腔抱负。我们的目标是让受远程控制的月球探索车踏上月球，并且在月球的陆面行走至少500米的距离，同时传输高质量的图片、录相和其它数据回地球。

其次，旨在促进中德两国的进一步友好合作和意见交流。而且这将会永久地持续下去。

再次，我们试图去扭转中国在设计和工程制造能力上留给人们的印象，那就是技术拷贝和抄袭。但是其实在中德两国有相当一部分年轻的、满怀梦想的工程师极力想证明他们是能够在这个使命上取得成功的，即在高新科技领域创造发明、把航天科学理念进一步推广到人民大众中去、进行一系列的探险，同时对持续的人道主义努力提供帮助来获得在地球上更好的居住环境。

Markus Bindhammer，团队创始人

Selene 团队的负责人和创始人为 Markus Bindhammer，他来自于德国巴伐利亚州。他的父亲曾是一名高级中学的化学和生物老师，这使得他很早就受到影响而对科学知识产生了兴趣。在孩童时代他就开始对发射和其它空中飞行器进行过钻研。 在完成高级中学的课程后，他作为一名供热设备和通风系统的实习生开始了工作生涯，并且在这个领域持续工作了好几年。后来获得了大学文凭证书，成为一名专业的技术人员，同时他对数学也深入系统地进行了学习。在大学学习期间，电子类产品和机器人深深地吸引了他，之后他给一些电子类杂志写过很多论文，像 Elektor 等，同时他也拥有一些发明专利，并且已经进行生产投入了销售市场。在2005年他获得了金额为15，000欧元的科学性知识竞赛奖，在德国的电视频道7台曾进行过报道。 如今他居住在上海，担任一家跨国公司中国上海分公司的技术总监。他们公司主要经营电动和园林工具的全球性贸易。

Biography of Russell Cameron, Technical Designer

Born in Australia, Cameron was always interested in how things worked and at the age of 12 taught himself basic computer programming and electronics. After completing high school, he became an electrical fitter at the Hazelwood power station. More recently, he ran a small desktop publishing business, returned to TAFE college to further his studies in electronics, worked as a computer / printer technician, and, taught himself to weld steel and aluminium. After an injury prevented him from working for 6 months, he focused on hobby robotics. Several robot designs that he posted on the internet attracted a Chinese company. As a result, he now lives in Zhongshan City, China where he develops educational robotic kits.

Biography of Mattias Lampe, Communication Systems

Mattias Lampe hails from a small town in northern Germany where he developed an early interest in science and technology. After obtaining a PhD degree in communications engineering from Hamburg-Harburg University of Technology, he moved to Beijing in 2004 where he began working for the research department of a large German company. He is in charge of an R&D team developing innovative solutions for industrial wireless communications and holds numerous patents in this field. He specializes in designing and building rugged and dependable systems that perform reliably in harsh conditions. Creating systems that can operate in space or on the moon is a fascinating new challenge for him. Giving and getting inspiration, sharing knowledge, and learning new things are his main motivations for getting involved in the Google Lunar X-Prize competition.
